Lets Help Some1 and The Wishing Factory conducted an event on 2nd April, 2017 for Thalassemia patients in Varanasi called Choti si Aasha.
Thalassemia Major is an inherited blood disorder in which the body makes an abnormal form of hemoglobin. Thus, patients' bodies do not have normal healthy RBCs and need painful blood transfusions every fortnight. By the time a Thalassemia affected child is 15 years old, he/she has received around 250 units of packed RBCs and 4,000 injections.
The objective of this event was to ask the Thalassemia children to draw their wishes and then we would try to fulfill those wishes.
We received 46 wishes in total ranging from a bicycle to a trip to Adlabs Imagica!! In order to raise the requisite funds, we have started an online fundraising campaign on Ketto.org which would fund our requirements partially. The link for the same is below:
